There are few high school students as well-rounded, busy,
and kind-hearted as Wyatt. A senior at Krum High School, Wyatt is a member of
many organizations – both within and
outside of his school. Through school alone, he is a member of the National
Honor Society (he was elected as the president of the Krum National Honor
Society), Student Council, FFA, and Percussion in Band and is also Senior Class
Secretary and Co-Captain of Varsity Men’s Cross Country.
Wyatt has been a member of 4-H for ten years and is the current president of the Lone Star 4-H Club. Through 4-H, Wyatt has been a member of the Denton County 4-H Horse Judging Team. He was a contributing member of this team through its win at the 2013 Fort Worth Stock Show Horse Judging Contest, which qualified his team to judge at AQHA Youth World and AQHA Congress. 4-H and FFA have brought him several other successes as well; he was selected as a top calf scramble participant at the 2013 Fort Worth Stock Show with his dairy heifer, earned his LoneStar Degree in FFA, and had State-winning science fair projects in both 4-H and FFA.
Wyatt is constantly contributing to his community. He has been active in food drives in his community over the years, benefiting the Denton County Farm Bureau and Special Touch Ministries. Other methods through which he volunteers is giving blood regularly, collecting newspapers for Krum ISD, making stockings every year for a children’s home, and trick-or-treating for UNICEF.
After high school, Wyatt intends to continue to give back to others. He plans to attend Iowa State University or the University of Texas, majoring in Biochemistry and minoring in Economics. In Wyatt's own words, "I hope to obtain an advanced degree and do something with my life that makes a difference in the lives of others."
