Denison Wedding Photographer: Sarah & Cody | Country Wedding

Cody and Sarah picked a perfect place to have their ceremony. Sarah, like many of the brides that choose me, is a life-long and very accomplished equestrian.  They originally planned to have their wedding under the beautiful trees at the ranch where Sarah boards her horse, but Mother Nature decided otherwise.  Instead, a heavy downpour started a few hours before the ceremony, causing the ceremony to be held in the barn. With the help of some help of some very creative family members and friends, the barn was quickly converted into a very cute country-style wedding with fabric-covered hay bales, some family heirloom quilts, and yards of burlap making it absolutely adorable!  Yes, it was a little wet (okay, very), but it ran smoothly and everyone had a great time. After all, rain on your wedding day is a sign of good luck and it ended it with a beautiful rainbow!

Denton Wedding Photographer: Lantana Resort | Jeremy & Taylor

I have known Taylor for many years, but just recently met Jeremy during their engagement session.  It did not take long for me to figure out that these high school sweethearts where perfect for each other.

Their ceremony was perfectly timed to happen at sunset overlooking Lake Ray Roberts from the gazebo at Lantana Resort and Marina. With a heavy downpour for most of the day leading up to the ceremony, it looked like an alternative indoor ceremony might be the case. Fortunately, however, the rain passed and a break in the clouds allowed the sun to shine through as The Beatles' song "Here Comes The Sun" played as Taylor was escorted by her father down the aisle. If I did not know better, I would have thought Mother Nature was their wedding coordinator.

Thank you Taylor and Jeremy for asking me to document such an important event in your life!

Senior Portrait Photographer | Wyatt | Senior 2014 | Krum

There are few high school students as well-rounded, busy, and kind-hearted as Wyatt. A senior at Krum High School, Wyatt is a member of many organizations –  both within and outside of his school. Through school alone, he is a member of the National Honor Society (he was elected as the president of the Krum National Honor Society), Student Council, FFA, and Percussion in Band and is also Senior Class Secretary and Co-Captain of Varsity Men’s Cross Country.

Wyatt has been a member of 4-H for ten years and is the current president of the Lone Star 4-H Club. Through 4-H, Wyatt has been a member of the Denton County 4-H Horse Judging Team. He was a contributing member of this team through its win at the 2013 Fort Worth Stock Show Horse Judging Contest, which qualified his team to judge at AQHA Youth World and AQHA Congress. 4-H and FFA have brought him several other successes as well; he was selected as a top calf scramble participant at the 2013 Fort Worth Stock Show with his dairy heifer, earned his LoneStar Degree in FFA, and had State-winning science fair projects in both 4-H and FFA.

Wyatt is constantly contributing to his community. He has been active in food drives in his community over the years, benefiting the Denton County Farm Bureau and Special Touch Ministries. Other methods through which he volunteers is giving blood regularly, collecting newspapers for Krum ISD, making stockings every year for a children’s home, and trick-or-treating for UNICEF.

After high school, Wyatt intends to continue to give back to others. He plans to attend Iowa State University or the University of Texas, majoring in Biochemistry and minoring in Economics. In Wyatt's own words, "I hope to obtain an advanced degree and do something with my life that makes a difference in the lives of others."
